Are the native Canary Islanders aware of the Canarian descendants in the U.S. called "Isleos" of Louisiana?

I am a descendant of the Canary Islanders or Canarians, that settled in southeast Louisiana. I was wondering if the native Canarians were aware of our existance in Louisiana. My family came from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. (Canarias). Our people are called "Isleos" and are plentiful in Louisiana. We still speak spanish with the Canarian accent too. The accent is just a tad bit different then the Canaries, cuz we speak a "Creole" dialect on the Canarian accent. But the differences are small. I would like to maybe hear from a Canarian either in english o en espaol por favor. I just want them to know that they have a community of their "people" in the United States. Just curious. Ya tu sabes.
