Why is it dangerous to buy meat from a door-to-door sales person?

I bought steaks and shrimp from some girl yesterday who came to my door, I saw her bring the boxes from her truck. She had it all in a freezer. It was a beat up, old, unmarked truck. Everything I bought was sealed and looks alright (and was completely frozen when I got it). I am starting to get worried about e-coli or identity theft (I wrote her a personal check).....help. The supposed company is "California Chef's Clic" and I can not find any mention of them anywhere.
