Reasons why tehnology may work to the detriment of society?

Technology can make workers unnecessary. In general, it is usually the opposite. Increase in tech. increases job growth. But, if you want to look like you worked "hard" on this, look up the Luddites? I think that's how you spell it. It is about a group of people who lost their jobs to technology and rebelled by destroying it.
