Should I be scared of American Psycho?

So if I am kind of a fraidy cat and not really a fan of scary movies, should I be afraid to watch American Psycho? Violence doesn't bother me but "slasher" type movies are really hard for me to stomach. Opinions? And spoilers are ok.
